The Book of the Brain was an unusual project for Usborne, being the first time they had worked with an external author.

I worked with neuroscientist Betina Ip, of Oxford University, to create a series of visual metaphors by which the complex science of the brain could be made comprehensible to children.

We follow our protagonist, Betina’s daughter, on her journey through the brain, guided by her Owl Professor.
